The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Monday's Best NHL Bets

Washington Capitals at Pittsburgh Penguins (+110, 5.5)

The Capitals haven’t been able to do much right lately, but beating the Penguins in the second half of the season is one of them.

In the New Year, Washington is 2-0 against the Penguins, winning both by a combined margin of 6-1. Over the past six games the Captials have just two wins, but one is a 3-0 win over the Penguins. And as simple as it sounds, when Washington can score, it wins.

The team has just three wins this season when scoring two or fewer goals. So when the team gets the red lamp to light up regularly, wins quickly follow. Washington also could be boosted by the return of Mike Green, who missed the past four games due to inner-ear trauma.

"I think it's tough to just say: 'Here's what we have to do and we'll start winning,' " Capitals defender Karl Alzner said. "We need to have a run. Our puzzle is maybe three-quarters of the way put together, and we're getting so close that we've got to just keep plugging away."

On the other bench, the Penguins continue to struggle with a slew of injuries and remain without several stars, including forward Sidney Crosby.

"You know it's a cliche, but the one-game-at-a-time approach really is the one we need to adopt," defenseman Paul Martin said. "Nobody is going to feel sorry for us, but we still control a lot of what can happen with all these games left."

They just won’t control what happens against the Capitals.

PICK: Washington Capitals

Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis Blues (-110, 5.5.)

The Blues think they have a dynamic young power forward when they acquired Chris Stewart this week from Colorado. Now they just need to find a way to keep the puck out of their own net.

The team dealt top defender and captain Eric Brewer to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday and then turned around and shipped 22-year-old rising star Erik Johnson to the Colorado Avalanche as part of a package for Stewart and puck moving defender Kevin Shattenkirk.

"Sometimes you need that, to kind of inject the fresh blood and get stuff stirred up," Blues winger Brad Boyes. "(GM) Doug (Armstrong)’s been around for a long time, he's a respected GM and he knows what he's doing."

That fresh blood paid off in a 9-3 win over Anaheim that saw Stewart score twice and Shattenkirk finish plus-1 with an assist. The team may now simply try to outscore teams.

And that could work against the struggling Blackhawks.

Chicago is a mere 3-7 in its past 10 games. Over its past four games, the team is allowing an average of 4 goals per night.

"When you can't piece together consecutive wins and you're just going, one win, one loss or two wins, one loss, you're going to be in the pack every time," Chicago forward Troy Brouwer said. "You need to find ways to separate yourself and we haven't done that."

PICK: St. Louis Blues

NHL Betting Preview: Washington at Pittsburgh

Washington Capitals at Pittsburgh Penguins (+110, 5.5)

A pair of second-place teams in their respective divisions meet for the fourth time this season when the Washington Capitals travel to Pittsburgh for a Monday matchup against the Penguins.

Though both teams played Sunday, the Pens seem to have the scheduling advantage. The Caps played at Buffalo on Sunday morning, which was the fourth stop on a five-game road excursion.

Monday’s game will be Washington’s fourth game in six nights, all on the road. Versus will provide the broadcast from CONSOL Energy Center starting at 4:30 p.m. (PT)

Pittsburgh played at Chicago on Sunday morning, but the Pens most recent game prior to that was last Wednesday against Colorado.

Wagering on the ‘under’ where either of these two clubs is concerned has been a successful endeavor. The same holds true when the clubs face each other.

The ‘under’ is 43-16 in Washington’s first 59 overall outings and 23-6 in its last 29 road endeavors. Pittsburgh has seen the ‘under’ go 36-21 overall and 11-3 in its last 14 efforts. Additionally, the ‘under’ is 8-2 in the last 10 series meetings at Pittsburgh.

All three meetings this season have dipped ‘under’ the closing total, which started at six goals in the first two matches and was reduced to 5½ in the most recent matchup.

Pittsburgh registered a 3-2 shootout victory in the first meeting on Dec. 23 as a 115 road underdog. The Pens won the game despite getting outshot 34-27 and going 0-for-5 on the power play.

Pascal Dupuis scored in the seventh round of the shootout to give the Pens the win. Chris Kunitz and Sidney Crosby scored in regulation, while Marc-Andre Fleury made 32 saves in regulation and six more in the shootout.

Washington got revenge on New Year’s Day during the annual Winter Classic with a 3-1 victory as a 130 road underdog. The Pens held a slim 33-32 advantage in shots on goal, but against failed to score on the power play in four opportunities.

Eric Fehr scored twice and Mike Knuble got the other marker to provide Washington’s offense. Rain fell throughout the game, coming down harder at the start of the third period. Because the wind became a factor late, the teams switched sides midway through the third period to keep things fair.

The most recent meeting occurred Feb. 6, with the Caps blanking the Pens as 150 home favorites, 3-0. Michal Neuvirth turned aside all 22 shots he faced, while Brooks Laich, Marcus Johansson (shorthanded) and Mike Knuble (empty-net) provided the offense.

Pittsburgh was playing without Sidney Crosby (concussion) and Evgeni Malkin (torn ACL). Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 22 saves, but saw his seven-game winning streak come to an end.

Both clubs failed to score on the power play, with Washington getting four chances and Pittsburgh receiving two opportunities. The Pens are now 0-for-11 with the man advantage in the three meetings against the Caps.

Prior to Sunday’s games, the Caps were 13-12-3-0 on enemy ice, while the Pens were 20-10-1-0 in their first 31 home dates.

Monday’s goalie matchup figures to be Washington’s Neuvirth against Pittsburgh’s Fleury. Neuvirth is 17-9-1-3 with a 2.53 GAA, a .910 save percentage and two shutouts. Fleury is 27-14-1-1 with a 2.29 GAA and .920 save percentage. He also has two shutouts.

Pittsburgh stays home for a Wednesday contest against the San Jose Sharks. Washington finally gets three days off before hosting the New York Rangers on Friday.

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Monday's Wagering Tips

Injury Of Interest

Corey Stokes, Villanova Wildcats: Villanova’s senior guard is still considered questionable for Monday’s game against Syracuse as he’s still hobbled by turf toe. Stokes, who averages better than 14 points per game, also leads the nation with a 93.5 percent shooting percentage from the foul line and has missed three straight games. Coach Jay Wright said last week that Monday’s game would be the earliest possible return for Stokes, but he should be considered at best a game-time decision as of now.

Key Trends

NHL: The Florida Panthers have won their last three meetings with the Islanders, but have won only four of their last 15 games overall. Meanwhile, the Islanders have won five of their last six.

NHL: The St. Louis Blues have won three straight games, while three of their last four games have played under the total.

NHL: The Washington Capitals have won six of their last seven games against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

NCAAB: Villanova has covered in four of its last five meetings with Syracuse, but has dropped seven of its last eight overall against the number.

NCAAB: Kansas has covered in six of its last eight games, while playing over the total in seven of those contests.

Number Of Note

7 - Oklahoma State is a long way from the club that started the year 9-3-1 against the spread in lined games. The Cowboys have lost six of their last eight games outright and have dropped the cash in seven of their last eight games heading into Monday’s contest against Kansas. Oklahoma State is pegged as a big 18-point underdog.

Tips And Notes

After being held to just three points and zero rebounds in 20 minutes of work in an upset loss to Kansas State, Kansas big man Markieff Morris blew up for 26 points and 15 rebounds in Saturday’s win over Colorado in a performance the Jayhawks have been waiting for. "I could tell that he was going to play well based on the way that he was practicing,” Marcus Morris told reporters. “He was totally dominating in practice and was dunking everything around the rim. Like coach said, practice refers to the game and that's exactly how he played. He dominated in practice, and he dominated in the game."

There’s a lot to be said about making a good first impression. Al Montoya knows all about that after stopping 35 shots in his debut with the New York Islanders, blanking the Los Angeles Kings for his sixth career shutout. He’s expected to get another start in goal Monday for the Islanders, who have won five of their last six games. New York is set as a -115 favorite against the visiting Florida Panthers.

The St. Louis Blues drastically reshaped their roster over the weekend, shipping captain Eric Brewer to the Tampa Bay Lightning before then acquiring Chris Stewart and Kevin Shattenkirk from Colorado for former No. 1 pick Erik Johnson and Jay McClement. The newcomers didn’t waste any time to chip in. Stewart scored twice and Shattenkirk added an assist in St. Louis’ 9-3 blowout win over Anaheim. The win was the third in a row for the Blues, who get back at it on Monday at home against the defending-champion Blackhawks.

Monday's Best Basketball Bets

Syracuse Orange at Villanova Wildcats (-3.5, 135)

The Wildcats love to face the Syracuse 2-3 zone defense. Villanova is 4-1 SU and ATS in their past five meetings with the Orange, cracking the 80 point mark in all the victories.

Included in those wins is an 83-72 triumph at the Carrier Dome earlier this year. In the victory, Villanova was out-rebounded, but had no trouble getting any looks it wanted. The Wildcats were a white-hot 11-of-24 from beyond the arc and penetrated at will, finishing 22-of-24 at the free throw line as Syracuse committed 19 fouls to their 10.

"Zone is like playing man. Their zone is not unstoppable," said Villanova guard Corey Fisher, who had 16 points, seven assists and three rebounds in the earlier meeting. "You're going to look bad sometimes and you can look good sometimes. We're going to keep being aggressive no matter if we look good or bad. We're going to play hard."

Fisher, who is coming off a career-high 34 points at DePaul this weekend, figures to have another huge game up his sleeve against the zone. His coach plans on giving him the green light to fire away.

"We made shots," Villanova coach Jay Wright said. "You play against the zone, you make shots you've got a chance. If you're not making shots, you're in trouble."

Lucky for the Wildcats, their shots are falling.

PICK: Villanova Wildcats

Oklahoma State Cowboys at Kansas Jayhawks (-18, 144.5)

Nothing has motivated the Jayhawks this season like a home loss to Texas. Since the team’s streak of 69 straight wins at Allen Field House was snapped, Kansas has reeled off four straight wins in the Phogg, all by an average of 22.5 points, easily covering a double-digit spread each time out.

“I think we are closer than we have ever been,” Kansas coach Bill Self said. “I think we like each other a lot. I think we genuinely care for each other. I think at this point of the season, we’ve been through enough I can say we have kind of become a team. Hopefully we are not close to the team we can become, but I think we are much further along than we were three to four weeks ago.”

And if the Pokes are to pull off the upset, it will take by far their best performance on the road this season.

Oklahoma State is a horrific 2-7 on the road this season and has lost its past to away games by a combined 29 points at Texas A&M and Nebraska.

"We've got to stay positive," Cowboys coach Travis Ford said. "We've got to keep our guys' heads up and keep competing."

That won’t be enough against Kansas.

PICK: Kansas Jayhawks

Syracuse at Villanova: What Bettors Need To Know

Syracuse Orange at Villanova Wildcats (-3.5, 135.5)

A battle for key positioning in the Big East tips off at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia where Villanova (21-6, 9-5) hosts Syracuse (22-6, 9-6) on ESPN Monday night.

Refuse To Lose

After dropping close-call decisions to Pittsburgh and Rutgers, Villanova bounced back with a three-point victory at Seton Hall Tuesday and a two-point overtime decision at DePaul Saturday.

Senior guard Corey Fisher scored a career-high 34 points against the Blue Demons, nailing the tying 3-pointer with six seconds left in regulation.

"I was just trying to make plays on defense," Fisher said. "We weren't worried too much about offense. We were just trying to play hard.”

Maalik Wayns added 17 points, Mouphtaou Yarou snared 15 rebounds and the Wildcats escaped with a hard-fought win over the Big East's last-place team.

After starting the 2010 campaign on a 16-1 winning note, Villanova enters Monday’s game 5-5 in its last 10 games.

A.P.B.

Corey Stokes, the Wildcats’ second-leading scorer, missed his third straight game Saturday because of a turf toe injury on his left foot.

Coach Jay Wright is hoping he will be ready for Monday’s contest.

"It's just hard to score," Wright said. "Corey Stokes is always a guy that you know is just going to stretch the defense. Even if he's not making shots, they're going to guard him no matter how far out he is, and it creates space for everybody. Without him, anybody else on our team, they'll just say, 'Go ahead, let those guys beat us."'

Orange Juiced

Like Villanova, Syracuse emerged victorious in overtime Saturday, holding off Rutgers, 84-80.

The Orange concentrated at the free-throw stripe where they canned 34 of 47 free throws.

Jim Boeheim’s bunch entered the game ranked 280th out of 335 in free-throw shooting at 64.9 percent.

Junior forward Kris Joseph, who scored six of his 21 points in the extra session, acknowledged the extraordinary effort.

“We got them in the bonus early in both halves," said Joseph, who made 10 of 12 free throws. "I feel like we went to the basket stronger and the refs were making the right calls."

Sophomore point guard Brandon Triche chipped in with 17 points and was 9 for 9 on free throws.

“I think that's the first time we've ever done that, and I don't think it had anything to do with penetration,” said Triche. “We got a lot of rebounds, and that really helped."

Not So Fab

He was the No.1 center in the 2010 class. A McDonald’s All-American.

Naturally, high expectations followed.

Instead, 7-foot Syracuse C Fab Melo has not lived up to his name.

Melo is averaging 2.04 points, 1.8 rebounds and 9.8 minutes per game.

The big guy returned for a one-minute token appearance Saturday against Rutgers after missing the previous two games. He’s played a total of three minutes in the Orange’s last four games.

"His Achilles’ has been sore for a couple weeks and he's having trouble getting up and down the court like we need him to," Boeheim said. "That's held him back."

The good news is the injury is a convenient excuse. Otherwise, the big Brazilian has been a big bust.

In This Series

• Syracuse is 5-10 SU and ATS the last 15 meetings.

• Villanova is 10-4 ATS when both teams are off a win.

• The visiting team is 16-6 ATS the last 22 games.

Tale Of The Tape

According to Covers College Basketball Statistics, here is a breakdown of how each team ranks among 345 others in three pivotal stat categories, namely Offensive Field Goal Percentage, Defensive Field Goal Percentage and Rebound Margin this season:

Offensive FG Percentage –
Syracuse 46.7 – No. 37
Villanova 44.7 - No. 111

Defensive FG Percentage –
Syracuse 39.5 – No. 19
Villanova 39.5 – No. 18

Rebound Margin –
Syracuse +3.4 - No. 65
Villanova +6.9 - No. 12

DimeStore

Syracuse is 13-7 SU and ATS as a dog since 1990 under Boeheim when playing with same season loss revenge of 10 or more points.

Villanova is 5-9 SU and 4-9-1 ATS under Wright against opponents with same season loss revenge of 10 or more points.
